Vehicles Collide, 2 Hospitalized, LIVINGSTON, January 15, 2018 - Shortly before 8 pm on January 14, 2018, a gray 2002 Ford F-350, driven by Patricia Sample, 70, of Cleveland, was west-bound on East Church Street. As Sample entered the intersection of US-146 and Church, an east bound silver 2013 Honda C-RV, driven by Savanah O'Neil, 17, of Livingston, attempted a left turn onto 146 but failed to yield to Sample. The vehicles collided and came to rest in the pavement (at the corner of Jack in the Box). Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene, along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department, and Officers Donald Dyson and Adam Williford with Livingston Police Department. Additionally, Trooper Kevin Burman with the Texas Highway Patrol came to assist. A passenger from each vehicle were transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Traffic at the intersection was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup. O'Neil was cited for failure to yield. A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered both vehicles and they'll be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston.
