2 Vehicle Accident, Both Drivers Hospitalized, BEECH CREEK, January 12, 2015 - At approximately 5:45 pm on January 12, 2015, a white 2010 Kia Soul, driven by Terri Lucinda Chambers, 43, of Woodville, was east-bound on US-190 East. Chambers' vehicle suddenly slammed into a green 1997 Ford Explorer driven by Devohn Dwayne Doyle, 25, of Livingston. Doyle pulled off of Beech Creek Road and failed to yield to Chambers. The impact spun Doyle's vehicle around turning over on its driver's side and facing it's opposite direction of travel. Chambers' vehicle came to rest in the west-bound lanes of traffic. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department, deputies from the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Trooper Chad Seamans with the Texas Highway Patrol. Both Chambers and Doyle were treated at the scene and transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. All traffic on 190 was blocked during investigation and cleanup. According to Trooper Seamans, the accident remains under investigation. A rollback wrecker from LakeView Wrecker recovered both vehicles and they will be stored in Livingston.
Terri Chambers' 2010 Kia Soul is probably totaled.
Devon Doyle's 1997 Ford Explorer was totaled.
Trooper Chad Seamans is the accident investigator.
Both drivers were transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital.
Both vehicles were recovered by LakeView Wrecker Service.
