Elderly Couple Hospitalized in Accident, GOODRICH, January 12, 2012 - At approximately 6:45 am on January 12, 2012, a gray 2006 Toyota Corolla driven by Glenda Robbins, 62, of Shepherd was north-bound on US-59 in Goodrich when she was slammed from behind by an 18 wheeler logging truck driven by Joney Wyatts, 60 of Coldspring. Robbins managed to get her car into the parking lot of Hughes Catfish Inn, she was followed by Wyatts who parked his 18 wheeler in the parking lot. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Trooper Ramey Bass of the Texas Highway Patrol. Both Glenda Robbins and her passenger were treated at the scene and transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. According to Trooper Bass, Joney Wyatts was cited for failure to control speed. Robbins' vehicle was recovered by a rollback wrecker from LakeView Towing. The scene was cleared by 8:15 am.

Glenda Robbins of Shepherd is treated by personnel from Americare Ambulance Service. She was transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries (as was her passenger).
