Accident Hospitalizes 1, LIVINGSTON, January 10, 2019 - At approximately 1 pm on January 10, 2019, a white 1997 Nissan Pickup, driven by Don Brown, 67, of Coldspring, was north-bound on FM-350 South.  Brown slowed down to make a left turn into a driveway (just north of Mangum Road) he was slammed from behind by a white 2016 Ford F-250, driven by James Thomas Sawyer, 67, of Coldspring.  Sawyer's pickup left the pavement to the right and struck a tree.  Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Scenic Loop Volunteer Fire Department and Troopers Nick Hatton, Chris Cain, Zach Lenderman, and Colton McQuilkin with the Texas Highway Patrol.  Sawyer was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries.  Brown was physically okay.  Traffic on 350 was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup.  Sawyer was cited for failure to control speed.  Both vehicles were recovered by LakeView Wrecker and will be stored in Livingston.

Traffic on FM-350 was partially blocked.
Brown was slammed by this 2016 Ford F-250 driven by 67 year old James Sawyer (also of Coldspring).
