Butane Truck Driver Flown to Houston After Getting Severe Burns, CORRIGAN, October 9, 2014 - At approximately 11:50 am on October 9, 2014, a propane truck with Shaw Butane and driven by Patrick Dillards (we weren't able to get his age and town) was east-bound on FM-287 when he pulled over a couple of miles west of the Corrigan City Limits. Dillards' truck was allegdly losing propane. He allegedly tried to fix the problem and received severe burns to his hands and arms. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Corrigan Volunteer Fire Department, Deputy Glen Edwards with the Polk County Sheriff's Office, Sergeant Jason Paske (also with the Sheriff's Office) and Game Warden David Johnson. Dillards was treated at the scene and flown to Hermann Hospital in Houston by PHi Air Medical helicopter. All traffic on 287 west was blocked during flight operations. The truck was driven from the scene.
