Chaotic Scene on 190 West as Small Bus Burns, LIVINGSTON, March 6, 2008 - Shortly after 6:30 pm, on March 6, 2008, a small bus registered out of Oregon caught fire on 190 West near Rick's Recreation and completely burned.  Witnesses said that the bus backfired a couple of times and a fire erupted on the underside of the bus.  The driver pulled the bus over and was able to safely exit the vehicle.  Within minutes the bus was engulfed in flames.  Livingston Volunteer Fire Department arrived on the scene and was able to safely put out the blaze.  Traffic on 190 West was completely blocked as the fire department got things under control.  There were two tanker fire trucks at the scene to hose down the bus.  There were also Polk County Sheriff's deputies and DPS Trooper Glen Goodwin.  The bus was towed by a rollback wrecker from Harwood Wrecker Service.  Traffic was flowing again in less than one hour.
