Accident in Town Sends Two to Hospital, LIVINGSTON, March 2, 2008 - At around 6:30 pm on March 1, 2008, a two vehicle accident occurred on Pine and Church Streets in downtown Livingston. According to Livingston Police, a white Honda minivan driven by Angela Gail Batty of Ace was eastbound on Church street when she broad sided a black Chevrolet pickup driven by John Matthews of Livingston, when Matthews ran a red light. Batty and a young child passenger with her both sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were both transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital via Americare Ambulance service. There was a rollback wrecker at the scene from Fawbush Wrecker service, Livingston Volunteer Fire Department Chief, Corky Cochran, Commissioner Tommy Overstreet, and three Livingston police officers. One lane of traffic was blocked as emergency personnel tended to the scene of the accident. Both drivers had insurance. Matthews was issued a citation for running the red light which caused the accident.
