Apparently Tweaking on Meth, Suspects Call Law on Themselves, Large Drug Bust Ensues, ONALASKA, November 9, 2017 - On the evening of October 24, 2017, Deputies with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to a suspicious activity call in the Bridgeview subdivision in Onalaska.  When the deputies arrived, they were met by the complainant.  They were given information regarding a wounded suspect inside a residence.  When the deputies entered the residence they observed narcotics in plain view.  THERE WAS NO WOUNDED PERSON IN THE HOUSE.

The owner of the residence, Susan Morris, denied consent of the residence and a search warrant was obtained. With the assistance of the Polk County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, a search of the residence was conducted and a large quantity of methamphetamine and a large amount of U.S currency consistent with the sale of methamphetamine was located in the residence.

Morris was placed under arrest and charged with manufacturing/delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance (both are felonies).

Donna Baker and Amy Massey were also placed under arrest for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Sheriff Kenneth Hammack stated that his patrol division will continue to be diligent in the apprehension of narcotic related offenses in the Polk County area and all charges possible will be filed in such cases and sent to the Polk County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.

Sheriff Hammack asks that if you suspect the use or sale of narcotics in your neighborhood to contact the Polk County Sheriff’s Office or Crime Stoppers and make a report.
