Fire at Southpoint Shopping Center, LIVINGSTON, June 27, 2012 - At around 7:20 am on June 27, 2012, a fire was reported from a business at the Southpoint Shopping Center located at the south end of Livingston.  Livingston Volunteer Fire Department dispatched several trucks and a crew of firefighters and was backed up by Scenic Loop, and Onalaska VFDs.  Additionally, the Livingston Police Department was on the scene.  The fire originated from an office located in Dr. Nader Kreit's Dental Office.  Heavy smoked billowed from the office as firemen quickly and methodically got to the source of the fire and saved the building from certain destruction.  Smoke damage may have occurred in adjoining businesses within the same building.  At time of press, the extent of fire, smoke, and water damage inside the building is not known to PolkCountyToday.com.
