Quarterback LaKendrick Moore and the Bulldog offense knocking at the door...
Bulldogs Beat Crockett in High Scoring Game, CORRIGAN, October 11, 2014 - The Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs played host to the Crockett Bulldogs on Friday night and were particularly rude hosts. The Crockett Bulldogs probably went home feeling a little mistreated. That's just how it's been this year for the Bulldogs in Corrigan. Whether on the road or at home, they're just not very hospitable and don't make for the funnest guests either. The Bulldogs started out being polite when they won the opening coin toss, and opted to let Crockett receive the ball first, but that friendly little gesture would soon be nothing more than an illusion. The Dogs' defense held, and (like last week) the first offensive play from scrimmage, Keegan Mitchell exploded up the middle for a Corrigan touchdown. From that point on, the niceties went out the proverbial window.
9:55 - Keegan Mitchell 64 yd td run, Malyk Johnson runs in 2 point conv. Dogs 8, Crockett 0
00:50 - Mitchell 18 yd td run , Johnson 2 pt conv. Dogs 16, Crockett 0
11:30 - Crockett 11 yd td run with pat. Dogs 16, Crockett 7
As has been the case in every Corrigan-Camden Bulldog game this year, their high powered running game, (showcased by running backs Keegan Mitchell and Malyk Johnson) has enabled them to steam roll their opponents. Once again, however, the opponents put some serious points on the board. I know it's easy for me to sit here and point out things that need to be improved upon, and I know the coaching staff is aware of the things that need improvement, but I'm just doing my job. The defense still looks suspect. There, I said it. Other than that, I can't forsee any team on the Bulldog schedule beating the Bulldogs. They're a great team and are well coached. Last night's victory was Head Coach, Seven Armstrong's 100th win as the Bulldog Head Coach. Cograts to Coach Armstrong and the Bulldogs.
